Best Motivational Talks of 2019

Megha Jain

A motivational speaker or an inspirational speaker is a person who gives speeches to audiences specifically intended to motivate them. Motivational speakers attempt to change an audience’s viewpoints about the world and themselves. Most motivational speeches are also called pep talks.

A motivational speech is meant to encourage the audience’s personal and/or professional growth. The main motive of a motivational talk or speech is to motivate the audience to perform a certain action. Motivational talks are often emotional and upbeat to adhere to the audience’s feelings. The purpose of a motivational talk is to “cause others to think, believe, and act as you want them to, and have them like it.” Motivational talks require a certain level of skill that not everyone can master. Some elements a motivational talk includes are:

The intention of the motivational talk should be crystal clear

The main element of a motivational talk is a clear intention. The motivational speaker needs to be completely clear of what they want the audience to do or the audience will be confused and will end up not doing it. Some speakers take time out to explain what they mean and some will give the audience riddles to spark their thinking power.

Explain why this new behavior is beneficial

People do not perform a certain action until and unless they have an explanation of why this new action could be beneficial. That is how motivational speakers convince an audience to change their way of thinking or their actions. They help the audience understand the benefits of the new action.

Create a strong image in the audience’s mind

Some people need extra help understanding what you are trying to say. Motivational speakers need to be able to paint an image in their audience’s minds.

As we mentioned above, motivational talks inspire the audience to make a change in their personal and/or professional lives. If the speaker of the motivational talk is passionate about what they are talking about, the audience will be able to grab the energy and is more likely to make a change in their life. That being said, here are some of the best motivational speeches of 2019.
